A year-long celebration in the Town of Peace River will be coming to an end on Saturday, December 1st. The town will be concluding its centennial celebration at the Baytex Energy Centre. Centennial Committee Co-Chair, Alisha Mody, says the day will start with the town resigning its articles of incorporation. The town was incorporated on December 1st, 1919. “The ceremony starts with the town signing its articles of reincorporation,” says Mody. “We are also going to be closing the time capsule that we have been collecting items on for the full year. We will have cake and treats, and will cap it off with a free swim at the pool and a free skate as well.”
