
Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw included the thumbs up for re-opening indoor playgrounds in the provinces COVID-19 briefing on September 22nd.
Many non-essential businesses were forced to close their doors back in mid-March as case numbers of the coronavirus began to rise in Alberta. But over the past few months, many businesses were able to slowly re-open with safety precautions in place. Now indoor playgrounds have been added to the list of businesses safe to operate, just in time before the colder weather sets in.
Peace Playland in the Belle Petroleum Centre has had it’s doors shut for over six months and the announcement comes as a great excitement. Staff Liaison for the board, Emily Fortin says “The board is planning on coming together soon to see what measures they will putting in place to open the doors for safe play again.”Fortin added everyone is very excited to open again and they can’t wait to see everyone soon.
