As you are aware, there was a water break at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex that occurred last Friday, November 16, 2024. Our Public Works, Multiplex, and Community Services staff responded to the situation immediately, and we express sincere gratitude to them for their hard work, care, and quick thinking during this emergency situation.
Currently, First On-Site, a property restoration company, is at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex cleaning and repairing all areas of the building impacted by the water main break and flooding.
Thank you to our community and user groups for their understanding during this unfortunate situation. We would also like to thank the individuals, businesses and organizations in Grimshaw, Berwyn, and Peace River who organized and accommodated our Christmas Market vendors with a welcoming smile. A special thank you goes out to Tracy Halerwich and the team who worked tirelessly to organize the Christmas Market. It was heartbreaking to cancel, as we know the effort that went into planning this massive event. Thank you to Northern Dough for providing vendors and staff with free coffee and treats, and to Champion Fitness in Peace River for offering drop-in discounts for our gym members. We are truly grateful for the kindness and support from the area and express our sincere thanks for all the acts of kindness that may not be known to us.
