Pair from GP Charged In Relation to a Stolen Pick-Up Truck

A pair of suspects is set to appear in a Grande Prairie Provincial Court Room on later this month.

27-year-old Jeremie LaFramboise and 43-year-old Christina Summers were both arrested in relation to a stolen pick-up truck.

Police observed a suspicious vehicle, subsequently confirmed as stolen, entering a southeast subdivision of the Swan City. Both occupants were observed walking away from the truck, and a foot pursuit ensured.

Summers was quickly apprehended, while police dog services attended to, and were able to locate and arrest LaFramboise.

A further search of the vehicle revealed a firearm, as well as a small amount of cocaine and crystal meth.

Summers will appear in court on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, on nine charges. They include Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000, Possession of a Firearm in a Motal Vehicle, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Three Counts of Failure to Comply, Possession of a Firearm with a Tampered Serial Number, and Careless Use of a Firearm.

LaFramboise is facing 13 charges, including Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, Two Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm with a Tampered Serial Number, Obstruction of Justice, Careless Use of a Firearm, as well as Driving while Disqualified. He appears in court on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
