One person dead after accident in Valleyview

Valleyview RCMP on scene of serious motor vehicle collision – update #2 

Valleyview, Alta. – On March 8, 2024, at 7:18 p.m., Valleyview RCMP received a report of a collision involving a pickup and a quad. Upon a arrival, the driver of the quad was deceased. The driver of the quad has been identified as a 26-year-old Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation resident. The four occupants of the truck were not injured. Valleyview RCMP remained on scene for several hours investigating the collision.

Although early in the investigation, RCMP believe that the quad was crossing the highway 43 when it made contact with the pick up.

Alberta RCMP wish to extend our condolences to the loved ones of the deceased.

Valleyview, Alta. – Valleyview RCMP are currently on scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 43 at the Williamson Park entrance. Westbound traffic on Highway 43 is currently being redirected while emergency crew respond. RCMP anticipate remaining on scene for several hours conducting an investigation.
