NWJHL Finals – Fort St. John vs La Crete

The championship series for the NWJHL will begin this weekend between the Fort St. John Huskies and the La Crete Lumber Barons. These two teams finished first and second in the regular season. After a bye in the quarterfinals, the Huskies got past the North Peace Navigators in six games in the semi-finals. La Crete in the playoffs swept Sexsmith in the first round then got a five game win in the semis over Beaverlodge. Fort St. John will be looking to add to their record by winning a 10th NWJHL championship, while La Crete is in the finals in just their second season in the league. The winner of their series will advance to the Junior B Provincials happening in Peace River.
