May 23, 2023 Wildfire UpdateAttention Parents and Guardians:
Please review the following information on how wildfires are impacting Northland schools:
Gift Lake School will remain closed. The community is still under an evacuation alert due to wildfire. Kindergarten to grade 9 homework packages have been delivered to families by Gift Lake School staff.
Hillview School will remain closed. Online learning will continue for students. If families have any questions, please email Principal Rosalind Best at rosalind.best@nsd61.ca. The East Prairie Métis Settlement is under a four-hour evacuation alert.
Bishop Routhier School will remain closed. The Peavine Métis Settlement is still under a mandatory evacuation order due to wildfire. Staff have been distributing homework packages. If you have any questions please contact Principal Sheldon Bossert at sheldon.bossert@nsd61.ca.
Chipewyan Lake School will remain closed. The community is still under a mandatory evacuation order.
