The Town of Level is pleased to the appointment of Roy Amalu as the new of Finance, effective May 26, 2025.
With over 20 years of experience in both private and public sectors, Roy previously served as Controller at Bird Construction and Stuart Olson, providing strong financial leadership and strategic oversight.
A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), he holds a master’s degree in business information systems and designations in risk management and fraud examination.
Roy is also deeply involved in community service, serving as Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee for the Buffalo Housing Development Corporation and as a board member with the Wood Buffalo Regional Library and United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo.
Chief Administrative Officer Viv Thoss expressed confidence that Roy’s financial expertise and community-minded approach will be valuable assets to the municipality.
