The North Peace Navigators are getting ready for their training camp which happens next weekend.
Team captain Aaron Kuhn says he’s ready to get back on the ice.
“I’m definitely trying to enjoy most of the summer as we have all of this hot weather, but I’m definitely trying to get into the weight room a little bit and keep up with the cardio. We had a young team last season so this year should be a lot better.”
Kuhn says he credits his older brother Austin for being a big influence on his career.
“Seeing him play here and how much he enjoyed, that just made me want to come there to play seeing how much he liked it. My brother influenced me to play hockey and to go a little bit farther and keep playing with seeing how far he came with going to school and winning two nationals and all that.”
The Navs camp will start on September 9 at the Baytex Energy Centre.
