Mounties investigating after shots fired in Cadotte Lake on Canada Day

The Peace River Regional RCMP is investigating after a report of shots being fired on the Woodland Cree First Nation.

According to the detachment, at 9:14 in the morning on Canada Day, there was a 911 call regarding gun shots being fired at a residence in Cadotte Lake.

The investigation included a search of the areas as well as interviews with people in the area but the detachment says it is looking for additional witnesses.

Multiple RCMP resources responded, including RCMP police dog services and the RCMP Emergency Response Team and the area was searched. An investigation was conducted that included interviews of individuals found in the area; however, RCMP are still looking for additional witnesses.
