UPDATE – May 16, 2023 at 6:15 p.m.
There have been no significant changes since the previous update.
PMD003 (Between Range Road 25 and Range Road 32 north of Township Road 824): The fire northeast of the Town of Fairview remains held, but is not under control. It has burned approximately 3000 acres and is, at present, not growing in size or moving significantly in either direction. The active fire area is shown on the attached map, with hot spots identified.
Firefighting efforts at this time are focused on monitoring for and extinguishing flareups.
GWF-018 (Peace River Banks/Cleardale Fire, burning North of Fourth Creek): This fire is currently classified as out of control and is being actively monitored. The most up to date information regarding the status of this wildfire can be found on the websites and social media for Saddle Hills County and Clear Hills County.
