Transportation Minister, Ric McIver joined the Trending 55 Newsroom to talk about the possibility of a toll bridge at Tompkins Crossing.
McIver did say that the ferry that brings motorists across the river is near the end of its life.
The Minister is currently meeting with elected officials and business leaders in Mackenzie County to get their input.
A new toll bridge would cost as much as $200 million according to a letter from McIver, which is posted below, including correspondence between the LeCrete Chamber of Commerce, Mackenzie County, and the Ministry of Transportation.
