McHappy Day on Thursday, May 8, was a resounding success.
Locally, the five Peace Country McDonald’s restaurants, including Peace River, raised over $57,000, surpassing the $51,000 total from 2024.
Nationally, McDonald’s Canada announced a-breaking total of over $11.3 million raised.
Proceeds support Ronald McDonald House Charities, which operates four houses in Alberta: Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, and Medicine Hat.
Funds were raised through a portion of proceeds from all food and beverage items, purchasing McHappy Day and McDonald’s themed clothing such as socks, purchasing a McHappy Day Heart, and rounding up orders to the nearest dollar.
