A 34-year-old Manning man is due to make a court appearance in Peace River on Monday, October 16, 2017.
Kyle Patrick Neel remains in custody; He faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Three Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Careless Use of a Firearm, Mischief, Uttering Threats, and Causing a Disturbance.
It’s all connected to an incident happening on Monday, October 2 at a home in Manning’s northwest quadrant at around 11:30 PM. When they arrived, RCMP observed the suspect with a firearm seated inside a parked vehicle.
As officers negotiated with the suspect, occupants of a nearby residence were safely evacuated.
House later, the suspect surrendered without incident. No injuries were reported, and the firearm was later determined to be a BB gun.
Manning RCMP say they have no further comment in this matter, as the case is now before the courts.
