Man Charged in Fatal Hit-&-Run in Peerless Lake

A 36-year-old Peerless Lake man remains in custody today.

Dale Cameron Letendre was arrested, and charged after the fatal hit-and-run that took place Sunday morning.

A 25-year-old man was killed as a result of the incident.

The charges Letendre faces includes Dangerous Driving Causing Death, Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident where Death was caused, as well as two counts of Driving While Disqualified.

Letendre, choosing not to speak to bail, has been remanded in custody.

He will make his first court appearance in Slave Lake on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

As the matter is now before the courts, Red Earth Creek RCMP say that they will be providing any further updates in regards to this case.
