Local firefighter Martin Cooper is looking for seniors and children to spend some time with Avalon, a pup who will one day be trained to become the Peace River Fire Department’s therapy dog.
Avalon is a 16 week old Newfoundland dog who is currently in therapy dog training. He can go for his full certification when he’s two years old. Cooper is looking for volunteers in the community to spend time with Avalon once or twice a week.
