Alberta’s Mental Health and Addictions Ministers Dan Williams has been facing questions on psychiatric care.
During a debate in the legislature this week, Williams brought up some of the work the government has been doing on expanding mental health resources.
Williams was questioned by NDP Critic Janet Eremenko about psychiatric acute-care beds for both youth and adults.
Williams stated that the province has been putting more money towards mental health services, including increased capacity in care centres and more hiring of specialists.
