KTCEA held its 2nd Annual Spelling Bee and we want to celebrate and congratulate all the students who participated! They showed great courage and spelling ability!

Sanctioned by the Spelling Bee of Canada https://www.spellingbeeofcanada.ca/ , the KTCEA spelling bee was held Tuesday March 26 at Red Earth Creek Hall.   The first place winners from each category will be travelling to Toronto for the finals May 26th.

It is the 2nd year KTCEA has held a Bee with students competing from the Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council Education Authorities six schools (Elizabeth Quintal, Peerless Lake, Peerless/Trout First Nation; Kateri School, Trout Lake, Peerless/Trout First Nations; Clarence Jaycox, Loon River First Nation; Atikameg School, Whitefish First Nations; Cadotte Lake, Woodland Cree First Nations; Little Buffalo School, Lubicon First Nations). Lindy Fors, President of this Chapter (and the Inclusive Education Manager with KTCEA) also thanks the supporters from each nation as well as Nufloors Slave Lake, TC Energy,  Road Runner Leasing, TAs Slave Lake, Lesser Slave Lake Watershed Council, Vanderwell, Northern Lakes College, Slave Lake Friendship Center, Creating Communicators, Functional Therapy, Sensory Solutions, Xcel Energy, and Royal Bank of Canada for their cash or gift bag donations.
