Fort Vermilion RCMP locate a wanted individual on 49 outstanding charges

 

Fort Vermilion, Alta. – One individual was located and arrested on their 49 outstanding charges, after being unlawfully at large since 2018.

On May 29, 2021, at approximately 9:48 p.m., the Fort Vermilion RCMP – Mackenzie County Enhanced Unit received an anonymous tip of the location of an individual who was unlawfully at large within in the community of John D’or Prairie, Alberta. The subject was known to investigators and identified to be actively avoiding their arrest.

As a result of the investigation, a Telewarrant to enter a dwelling house was obtained and the individual was located hiding inside a couch within the residence. The subject was subsequently arrested without incident at that time.

Jerry Ivor D’or (29) of John D’or Prairie was held for Judicial Interim Release Hearing for the following criminal charges related to various investigations:

·         Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x2)

  • Uttering Threats (x2)
  • Assault with a weapon (x4)
  • Assault (x7)
  • Sexual Assault
  • Publication of Intimate image without consent
  • Mischief over $5000
  • Fail to comply with condition of Recognizance (x20)
  • Mischief under $5000
  • Fail to appear (x6)

Jerry has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in High Level Provincial Court and Fort Vermilion Provincial Court on June 7, 2021 and June 8, 2021, in relation to the above allegations.
