On October 6th, the Baytex Energy Centre had a strong crowd cheering the North Peace Navigators on to win 8-4 against the Grande Prairie JDA Kings.
The Kings were short benched but put out a great effort throughout the game, originally leading in the first period. 1-0. In an impressive end to the first period, the Navs scored, bringing them to a tie with only 3 seconds to spare.
In the 2nd period, Coach Jody Menssa said the team regrouped and came back raring for a win bringing the team their victory. Menssa also commended Christopher Key for doing well in his first game in net in the junior hockey league.
