On October 22, 2021, at 2:45 a.m. the Peace Regional RCMP received a report of a vehicle that had been struck with a undisclosed object while travelling eastbound on Highway 2.
Investigation has determined that between 2:15 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., a truck travelling westbound on Highway 2 near the airport had throw an object out of their window, shattering an eastbound vehicles windshield. The driver of the eastbound vehicle sustained severe eye damage following the incident.
