High Level RCMP seize drugs and charge two for trafficking
Paddle Prairie, Alta. – On May 15, 2023, at approximately 12:00 p.m., High Level RCMP officers conducted a patrol in Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement, Alberta. Officers located 2 suspects outside a residence who were detained on unrelated investigations. During the investigation officers conducted a search. As a result of the search, officers seized:
· Approximately 30 grams of suspected Cocaine
· Small quantities suspected Methamphetamine
· Quantities of different pills
· A handgun style BB gun
· Canadian Currency
RCMP have charged Ivan Loonskin (34), a resident of Fort Vermilion, with:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x2)
· Property obtained by crime.
Edward Courtoreille (42), a resident of High Prairie, was charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.Both males were taken before a Justice of the Peace and released for a future court date at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level.If you have information about drug trafficking in your area, please call the High Level RCMP at 780-926-2226 , or your local police .
