High Level announces Interim CAO
The Town of High Level Mayor and Council are excited to announce the appointment of Ron
Leaf as the Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) with the Town of High Level.
With 19 years of experience as the CAO of Clearwater County and a background in providing
consulting services to municipalities and public organizations across Alberta since his retirement
in 2017, Ron brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.
His employment as Interim CAO will commence on April 21, 2024. In the meantime, Rodney
Schmidt, Director of Emergency Services, and longstanding employee of the Town of High
Level, will serve as the Acting CAO until Ron’s arrival on Sunday.
Council extends its gratitude to Director Schmidt for graciously accepting this challenging role in
addition to his other responsibilities.
