The Harvest in Alberta is almost finished, but now farmers and ranchers are focusing concerns on the quality of their product, as the weather turns south.
Protection of forages, like Hay, are receiving attention, as cooler temperatures and more moisture are hitting the Peace Region, just before winter.
The loss of quality and quantity of baled forage can result in significant losses in profit, especially if weathering occurs.
The storage of hay and other forages, even if the bales are just for feed, can be done in several ways, but having that protection, like under a roof or under a tarp, will be helpful in maintaining higher quality, quantity, and potentially profits.
