Compressor Replacement at Mile Zero Regional Multiplex
Council approved the purchase of a new compressor for the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex from capital reserves, as one of the two compressors that operate the arena failed earlier this month. A new compressor has been ordered and is expected to arrive and be installed by late next week. Currently, the arena is operating with one compressor, which limits the number of ice floods, but it will be able to continue with the arena opening and the free skate on September 3, 2024.

Council approved general housekeeping revisions to Cemetery Bylaw 1207.
Lighting Upgrade at Mile Zero Regional Multiplex
Council approved a lighting upgrade for the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex in the amount of $98,640.00 to replace existing lighting with LED. Switching to LED lighting will result in energy savings for years to come.
