Grande Prairie RCMP Special Investigative Unit-Olds RCMP charge male fore sexual offences-Update
Olds, Alta – Grande Prairie Special Investigative Unit have laid additional charges.
Jan. 14, 2022, following the initial investigation, an additional report was received of sexual offences involving a child alleged to have occurred between Jan. 2017 and Dec. 2019. The Grande Prairie Special Investigative Unit conducted the investigation with assistance from Olds RCMP
On Aug. 23, 2022, Albert de Villiers (54) a resident of Kelowna, B.C. was charged with:
· Invitation to sexual touching.
· Voyeurism.
· Make sexually explicit material available to a child.
Following a judicial hearing, de Villiers was released on multiple conditions including to not be in the presence of any persons under the age of 16 without supervision. de Villiers is next scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Sept. 12, 2022.
As these matters are now before the courts, no further updates or details surrounding the incident will be provided.
