Thanks to the cold winter that Alberta had, the provincial government is suspending the 13-cents-a-litre fuel tax from April until July.
Also, $150 rebates in electricity will be implemented, come next month.
The suspension comes as the federal carbon tax rate is expected to rise in April.
Canadians have been baring the cost of rising fuel prices for the past number of months.
Gas prices in the Peace Region are between $1.52 and $1.70 per litre.
