Fort Vermilion Man Arrested On Numerous Theft Charges

RCMP officers have arrested a man from Fort Vermilion who had been wanted on a number of theft related charges.

Manning RCMP had been looking for Jarrett Ducharme in their investigation of an attempted vehicle and fuel theft in late September, and he was linked to other thefts in the High Level, Fort Vermillion, Peace River and Manning areas.

Police were able to locate and arrest him in Keg River over the weekend.

Ducharme was already facing the following charges
– Possession of stolen property (x3);
– Theft of Fuel (x2);
– Attempted theft of a motor vehicle;
– Forgery;
– Uttering a forged document; and
– Operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Some additional charges were laid by officers when they arrested him.
– Possession of stolen property over $5000 (x3 – 2 out of Manning, 1 out of High Level)
– Criminal flight from police (out of High Level).

Ducharme was also at large on a release order out of Peace River for failing to appear in court.

He has several court appearances scheduled in the coming months, October 23 in High Level and October 30 and January 3 in Peace River.
