The Fairview Health Complex will be without physician coverage in the emergency department for a 12 hour period starting Thursday, January 6 at 7 p.m.
Nursing staff will remain on-site in the ED providing triage and assessments and referring patients to emergency departments in other surrounding communities.
People needing urgent medical care are asked to call 911 during the outage and EMS calls will be rerouted to Grimshaw, Spirit River and Peace River’s health centres.
Physician coverage will resume in the ED on Friday, January 7 at 7 a.m.
