Fairview RCMP executes search warrant in Blue Sky
Fairview, Alta. – On May 6, 2025, Fairview RCMP received a complaint regarding an assault with a weapon. The suspect was identified and, upon further investigation, it was discovered that the suspect may be in illegal possession of firearms. On May 7, 2025, members of the Fairview detachment executed a search warrant on two RV trailers and vehicles on a vacant property in Blue Sky, Alta., in relation to this assault.
As a result of the search warrant, the following items we seized:
- 5 firearms, 2 of which were sawed off shotguns;
- Crossbow;
- A small amount of various drugs;
- Ammunition; and
- $3200 in Canadian currency.
As a result of the investigation, Luke Anderson (38), a resident of Clear Hills County, Alta., was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon;
- Uttering threats;
- Possession of firearm while prohibited (x5); and
- Other firearm-related offences (x11).
Anderson was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. He is to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River on May 12, 2025.
