École Héritage students to benefit from school project
(Falher, AB) March 7, 2024: As part of a plan to build and modernize more schools in communities where they are needed most, Alberta’s government has committed to undergo modernization construction for École Héritage school in Falher, Alberta.
“It is great to hear that the École Héritage modernization has been approved and will be moving forward soon. I have been advocating for this project as it is important to Falher Francophone students to learn in a facility that will meet their needs, and at the same time, protect a historic building in the community. This project aligns with our governments focus on education, ensuring that we provide the best possible opportunities for the next generation to excel.”
MLA Todd Loewen, Central Peace-Notley
Alberta’s government is investing $681 million in 43 priority school projects, which includes 19 projects approved for full construction funding, 16 for design funding, and eight for planning funding.
When complete, these projects will provide 35,000 new and modernized spaces for students across Alberta.
“Our government is working as quickly as possible to build new schools in our growing communities and Budget 2024 demonstrates our commitment. Budget 2024 will provide 35,000 new and modernized student spaces across the province for students to use for decades to come.”
Demetrios Nicolaides, Minister of Education
“We are extremely pleased with the government’s commitment to the modernization of our francophone school. This long-awaited project will address chronic infrastructure needs at École Héritage and will ensure that we can continue to provide high-quality francophone education in a modern, stimulating, safe, and welcoming environment for our students.”
