A Daycare for École Héritage
Following several expressions of interest, the CSNO conducted a survey to determine the overall interest and establish the number of children who could be enrolled in a francophone daycare at École Héritage. The survey received numerous positive responses, indicating that there are potentially enough children for the opening of a daycare. Based on this information, the Board of Directors approved the implementation of steps to open a daycare (ages 3 to 5) at École Héritage.
CSNO Superintendent Retirement Notice
Its’ with emotion, that the Board of Trustees received the notice of retirement of CSNO Superintendent Brigitte Kropielnicki. Her departure is scheduled for the end of her contract on July 31, 2025. The School Board plans to begin the recruitment process for a new superintendent. The process to fill the position will take place over the coming months, with the new superintendent expected to start on August 1, 2025.
Meetings With School Councils
The School Board proposes a new format for the 2024-2025 school year to optimize its relationship with school councils and get the pulse of the school communities. Instead of holding a regular meeting at the school and receiving the school council president, the school trustees will visit each school on a predetermined date, followed by a meeting with the school administration and school council members. The new format also eliminates the practice of school trustees attending school council meetings as observers throughout the year.
Furthermore, the School Board will continue to hold the annual school council meeting, which will take place on January 24, 2024.
Professional Development Plan
The professional development plan for trustees was approved and will be further developed to ensure the necessary follow-ups to achieve the plan’s objectives.
