The “Cram the Cruiser” event put on by the Fairview RCMP is being called a success.
Members of the public were able to drop off toys, personal care items and food to fill an RCMP cruiser.
Sgt. Greg Beach says they were able to provide 20 families with hampers for the Christmas season.
“In the back we crammed where we normally put the bad guys, we filled it with good news. Wendy Beigel also had their Crossroads van that was filled as well. It just shows you when you partner with your community, the good things that can happen when we all come together.”
“Because there was so much more, there were 10 other families that were right there inside of the shelter that they were able to provide a Christmas hamper to as well. For the first Cram the Cruiser here in Fairview, it was a huge success.”
The RCMP did this event in partnership with the Crossroads Resource Centre and Women’s Shelter in Fairview.
