CRA warns of potential scams during Tax Season (David Nunes)

Tax season is upon the Peace Region, and most people are in the process of preparing them.

April 30th is the deadline to file taxes, and officials are hoping that actions are being taken to avoid compromising information, or getting scammed.

The lapse of judgement from residents in the Northwest, has scam artists coming out and wanting to take advantage.

However, scam artists have surfaced and want to take advantage of some people’s vulnerability.

One scam that has frequented is a communicator by phone, text, or e-mail, masking that they’re from the Canada Revenue Agency.
