COVID-19 UPDATE: September 14

On September 14, Alberta Health Services confirmed 418 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 72 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 15,833.

One person passed away over the weekend and overall, 254 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 1,240 cases of COVID-19 and 33 people have passed away.

There are currently 232 active cases in our zone with 65 cases in Mackenzie County, 26 in the County of Northern Lights, 15 cases in Clear Hills County, 10 in the Municipal District of Peace and eight in the Municipal District of Spirit River.

AHS is reporting that 14,041 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,538 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
