
On November 26, Alberta Health Services confirmed 1,077 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 51,878.
Nine people passed away, including one person in the northern zone, which means 510 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 3,485 cases of COVID-19 and 45 people have passed away.
There are currently 789 active cases in our zone with 39 in the MD of Greenview, 25 in the MD of Peace, seven in Mackenzie County, five in the MD of Fairview, while all other jurisdictions in our area have three active cases or less.
AHS is reporting that 37,316 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 14,052 active cases across Alberta.
Outbreaks have been declared at the following places:
- Fairview Health Complex
- Peace River Correctional Facility
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
It is also recommended you wear a mask if social distancing is not possible.
