
On December 15, Alberta Health Services confirmed 1,341 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 83,327.
11 people passed away, which means 744 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 5,538 cases of COVID-19 and 56 people have passed away.
There are currently 1,250 active cases in our zone with 34 in Northern Sunrise County, 30 in the MD of Peace, 29 in Big Lakes County, 28 in Mackenzie County, 20 in the MD of Greenview, five in the MD of Greenview, while all other jurisdictions in our area have two or less active cases.
AHS is reporting that 61,934 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 20,649 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
