A private member’s bill introduced by Peace River’s MLA will not be moving forward. Dan Williams’ Conscience Rights Protection Act was voted down in a committee meeting yesterday, which means it will not be debated in the legislature.
Bill 207 would allow medical professionals to decline to offer services going against their beliefs. It would have also eliminated the requirement to give patients a referral to those services.
