Big Lakes County Council Elects Reeve & Deputy Reeve
October 24, 2023: At the Annual Organizational Meeting Big Lakes County Council appointed Ward 8 Councillor Tyler Airth as Reeve, and Ward 7 Councillor Lane Monteith as
Deputy Reeve on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
“I am honored to serve as your Reeve and work hand in hand with our exceptional team. Council continues to prioritize financial stability and the consistent growth of our community.” said Reeve Airth, “Through strong teamwork and shared vision, we are committed to continuing to build a stronger, more resilient County.”
Deputy Reeve Monteith thanked Council for their support saying, “serving as Deputy Reeve for the people of Big Lakes County is a privilege. I’d like to express my gratitude to Council for their ongoing support.”
Council holds an organizational meeting each year in October, where Council reviews specific bylaws and policies, appoints members to over 50 committees, and elects the Reeve and Deputy Reeve.
