Bezanson Man Facing Charges After Arrest In Strathmore

A man from Bezanson is one of two people facing charges in relation to an incident that took place last week near Strathmore.

Last Friday, RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle stuck in the snow in an area of Wheatland County.

Responding officers checked out the occupants of the vehicle, who were wanted on Canada-wide parole warrants.

Both men were arrested, and a search yielded a quantity of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $19,000, over $20,000 in cash, a handgun replica, a number of edged and impact weapons and government identification that belonged to neither individual.

The Bezanson man, 31 year old Christopher Lindgren and the other suspect, a man from Cold Lake, are facing numerous drugs and weapons charges.

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking;
– Possession of Items Used for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance;
– Possession of a Prohibited Weapon;
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x 14
– Obstructing a Peace Officer; and
– Unlawful Possession of Government Documents X 2.

Both men were remanded into custody on their new charges for future court appearances. At the time of this encounter, both men were parolees who fled from a community residential facility which resulted in the issuance of Canada Wide Warrants.
