Beyond 2000 Among Businesses Adjusting To Pandemic

This week is small business week and we’re talking several local businesses about how the pandemic affected their business.

At Beyond 2000 in Grimshaw, owner Dave Allen says they had to make some adjustments to keep all of their staff employed.

“We’ve reduced our daytime hours a little by an hour each day just to cut back a little bit. You just have to keep pushing forward and promote the shop local and hopefully folks that are out looking for supplies right now that they do need and can’t afford to get right now that they are using the local businesses in our area.”

With more people at home, Allen says they’ve done more online marketing this year.

“If people are staying at home, that really is their form of information is they’re getting it online. So by using Facebook or even emailing members or regular customers to come in and let them know about specials and things that are going on. The online marketing is as important now as it’s ever been.”

With this week being small business week, Allen says without the small businesses we have in this area, you wouldn’t have the communities that exist now.
