The Town of Peace River is currently under an Air Quality Advisory, with the live Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) rating for for noted as “Unhealthy.”
While it’s not always possible, we’re all encouraged to avoid high-intensity activities outdoors (such as running or exercising), close our windows, run an air purifier in our homes, and wear a mask outdoors when possible.
Anyone with respiratory issues is encouraged to stay at home as much as possible until the air quality improves.
While there is rain in the forecast (which typically helps in these situations), the air quality is projected to remain “Unhealthy” through at least Monday, August 19th.
So, we know it can be hard to stay indoors for a full week, but do your best to take precautions.
