SWAN HILLS — Alberta Health Services (AHS) have invited residents of Swan Hills to attend a meeting of the Tamarack Health Advisory Council. The meeting is scheduled to happen on May 2nd and run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Swan Hills Healthcare Centre.
The purpose of the meeting is for members of the council to hear from and meet the public. This will allow residents to offer feedback on healthcare delivery and potential improvements. This feedback will then be passed on to AHS leaders to help inform future decision-making.
The council will start hearing from the public at 6:30 within the Community Health Boardroom.
The Tamarack Health Advisory Council represents the western edge of the province (Jasper, Whitecourt, Westlock & Edson) and exists to help gauge the specific health needs of their region. The participation of the public is essential to what they do as they are able to better understand what those needs are.
