ABP Holding Annual Meetings Next Month

The Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) is set to hold a series of fall meetings towards the end of the month.

The ABP, in a publication, says that they pride themselves on being an organization of producers, run by producers, and working on behalf of Alberta’s cattle and beef producers.

It adds that one of their biggest priorities is communicating with its grassroots producers, as well as taking direction from them on any issue, priority and activity that they feel is important.

As such, the ABP says that their most effective venues for listening and speaking to producers are the Fall Producer Meetings that are held in each of their nine zones in the province.

At these meetings, each producer typically brings their issues and concerns to the members of the ABP Board of Directors. Either the Executive Director, or at least one Executive member of the board, is at any given meeting.

Zone Nine, with covers the Peace Country, will have three such meetings taking place.

One will go at the Pomeroy Inn in Grande Prairie on October 24, 2017. The next on will go on October 26 at the Manning Legion, while on November 1, it’ll happen at the Triangle Hall in High Prairie.

In this zone, as well as in Zones 5 and 8, elections for delegates will also be held.
