The MD of Peace is asking the public for information following reported damage at Lac Cardinal Park believed to have happened during the night of May 8th or the morning of May 9th.
In a statement, the municipality says it has been working to improve parks throughout the region to make them more versatile and user-friendly for residents and visitors. The go on to say it is disheartening to see parks intentionally misused, noting the damage ultimately costs taxpayers money to repair.
The MD says the vandalism undermines ongoing efforts to enhance local recreational spaces for the community to enjoy.
