Mackenzie County’s imposed Stage 2 water rationing in La Crete continues due to ongoing challenges at the local water treatment plant in meeting demand.
Residents are restricted to outdoor water use between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., and 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Even-numbered addresses may water on even days, while odd-numbered addresses may do so on odd days.
Additionally, the La Crete Water Treatment Plant and the Buffalo Head Prairie Rural Truck Fill Station may be reduced to one lane.
The County emphasizes that this is a quantity issue, not a quality issue.
