  1. People in the Peace Region will now be paying to get Covid 19 vaccines. Vaccines will only be available at Health Clinics, as pharmacies will not be administering the shots.
  2. This weekend’s rainfall very much aided wildfire efforts in Northwestern Alberta. EVAC orders and alerts are still in place for the affected area around these blazes.
  3. Main street and 101st street, that is Hwy 744 leading up to, including the Judah Hill Road will have work being done.
  4. Residents and members of the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation are heading to the polls today.
  5. The Peace Regional Mental Health Task Force Committee, among other organizations, have put out a 16-page report on solutions to the Crime and Vagrancy issues in Downtown Peace River. (Interview in Separate story)
  6. Wheatbelt Baseball League tonight… Peace River is in Grimshaw, The Stamps are 4-1, the Huskies are 4-3. Grande Prairie is in Rycroft, the Brewers are 3-2, the Rage are 3-3.
  7. The Toronto Blues are flying home today, after getting swept in Philidelphia over the weekend. The Jays start a three-game set with Arizona at Roger’s Centre tomorrow.
  8. Game 5 of the NBA finals goes tonight. Indiana is in Oklahoma City, with the series tied 2-2.
  9. A mix of Sun an Cloud with a slight chance of a shower is forecasted for the afternoon in the Northwest.
    Highs are in the low to mid 20’s throughout the first half of this week. Lows are around 11, with the Peace and Big Lakes getting wet near midnight.
