UPDATE
Police in Valleyview have confirmed that one person is dead from a late night accident on Highway 43.
The RCMP investigation revealed that a cyclist was travelling in the middle of a westbound lane and was not seen by a Semi-Truck until it was too late.
Though the Semi-Truck attempted to avoid the cyclist, it was unable to do so and, unfortunately, the cyclist was pronounced deceased on scene.
Officers say that charges are not currently being sought in regards to this incident.

Valleyview RCMP are investigating a late night collision that happened on Highway 43.
It happened at the intersection of 43 and Range Road 230, just west of the town and near the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.
The Westbound lanes were closed for a few hours, but have now since reopened.
No word yet on if there were any injuries.
