Mother Nature is reminding residents that winter is still here.
Roads in and around the Northwest are in less-than-ideal conditions, as RCMP have responded to numerous accidents.
Snow, blowing snow, reduced visibility, and icy conditions are leading to these fender-benders.
Authorities are asking motorists to take extra time, if travelling this weekend.
Snow is on the menu for the next 24-36 hours in the Northwest.
The hardest hit will be the Big Lakes, who are under a Snowfall Warning, as upwards of 15-25 cm could hit the ground before tomorrow afternoon.
The Peace is expecting 10-20cm, while the Mackenzie gets 5-10 cm.
Temperatures are down into the -20’s and -30’s, and the wind is up, making for rather dangerous conditions.
Skies will clear out by tomorrow afternoon and evening and digits will warm up a little by the beginning of the week.
