RCMP trying to locate Fort Vermilion Resident in Theft cases in High Level, Fort Vermilion, Peace River, and Manning

Manning, Alta. – On Sept. 30, 2023, Manning RCMP received a complaint of an attempted vehicle and fuel theft. Upon further investigation, the suspect was linked to other thefts in the High Level, Fort Vermillion, Peace River and Manning detachment areas. Manning RCMP attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle which then fled from police. Surveillance footage was obtained of the suspect, who was positively identified.

As a result of the investigation, Jarrett Michael Ducharme (27), a resident of Fort Vermillion, was charged with:

  • Possession of stolen property (x3);
  • Theft of Fuel (x2);
  • Attempted theft of a motor vehicle;
  • Forgery;
  • Uttering a forged document; and
  • Operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Attempts to locate Ducharme are still underway and warrants have been issued for his arrest. Manning RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance to locate him.
